Making Sure We Fuel Our Bodies

This month it’s all about FUEL. Your body performs best when it is properly fueled. Are you showing up for class ready to go? Making sure you’re well-fueled and hydrated, particularly in the summer heat, takes some intentional effort. More sweat out means more liquids in, adding in electrolytes (LMNT is the perfect on-the-go option!), and protein (grab an Apres from the cooler!) as you can. Properly fueling, also includes rest. That’s right, rest. In order for your body to perform optimally, it needs time to recover and repair. It also means including carbohydrates as an integral part of your diet (see more below from Dr. Stacy Sims!).

Fortunately, our unique complementary series of classes are designed to work together giving you a balance of high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and low-intensity steady state (LISS), but taking a day or two of rest each week is up to you. We know you can do it!

Posture & Functional Range Conditioning Tips

For the month of August, we’ll continue to focus on our hips in all classes. Slow down, take notice, and see how amazing your hips feel. And, don’t be afraid to take our hip CARs on the road with you– at home, waiting in line, your hips will thank you.

Overheard in the Hot Room
