In 2004 Maeghan walked into her first Bikram Yoga class in Portsmouth, NH and immediately fell in love with the practice, the heat, the way it eased her back pain, and she knew this yoga would be in her life forever.
15 years, three kids, and a series of new certifications later, the classes have changed a bit to reflect the growth of the studio but the passion for yoga, fitness, and helping others achieve their goals is stronger than ever!
Maeghan loves spending time with her children and husband, Luke, and thinks they are all pretty lucky to have found the Upper Valley. Aside from being a mom, Maeghan is most proud of The Studio community.

Julia found yoga through her sister, Maeghan, and her mother, Beth. Not convinced after her first class, it took her a year to go back – after that, it was game on. Leading an active life Julia uses yoga to hold it all together physically. A few years into her practice she realized what yoga did for her mentally and started to dive deeper into her practice and eventually went to her first training. Since then yoga and Pilates have been her main form of training for whatever event she participates in and continues to grow her knowledge through a wide variety of training and workshops.

Because of all the joy the studio gives to Andy, he wanted to give back to the studio. So beginning in 2018, Andy became the volunteer director of lighting and sound at the studio and has recently been promoted to associate director of weight rack installations, toilets, doorknobs and thermostats.

After a decade of teaching yoga, Natalie can now say with certainty that she has found her life’s purpose of moving, healing, and empowering people. From the moment the first drop of sweat fell onto her mat in the first yoga class she ever took in 2006, she was hooked. It took her five more years to fulfill her goal of becoming a yoga instructor, where she received her first yoga certification in Los Angeles. Since then she’s trained in multiple disciplines and has become a life coach as well as a nutrition coach. She believes true happiness and vitality begin with physical health and loves empowering her students and clients to feel their absolute best.

Sallie discovered her lifelong love for yoga when she took her first Bikram method class in 1995 in the Pacific Northwest. A regular practice sustained both an all-consuming career in non-profit environmental work and her passion for outdoor life. In 1999 she went to L.A. for her first teacher certification, and from there she jumped with both feet into the life of a full-time yoga teacher and student. After returning to her roots on the East Coast, happy circumstances led her to Maeghan and BYUV in 2011, where she has been teaching and learning, ever since.

When Becky took her first yoga class at age 18 she knew she’d found something special. While
studying Eastern Philosophy in college she was lucky to find a studio that provided a variety of
asana, meditation, and pranayama classes. She integrated bits and pieces from these studies to
teach her first yoga class while working in Antarctica in 2005. From there, she continued her
practice and developed her teaching, but back home in the Upper Valley where she met her
husband and they are raising their two sons. She earned her certification to teach in 2018 and
completed her Advanced Teacher Training in 2020 at Heart of the Village Yoga.
Becky believes that yoga can meet every student where they are, nourishing the connection
between mind, body, and heart. She aims to create a safe space in her classes for every student
to experience this connection with movement, meditation, and playfulness.
Outside of the studio, Becky serves on the Board of Willing Hands, substitute teaches at her
kids’ school library, and enjoys mountain biking, skiing, and trail running.
