
For a long time, fitness recommendations have looked the same across genders. The majority of fitness research in the past was done on male bodies – with women perceived as just smaller versions of men – they simply scaled the recommendations for size. Thankfully the landscape has changed, women specific hormone profiles are being studied; and it turns out our needs, strengths, weaknesses and therefore recommendations are much different from males. FRC FOCUS: SCAPULA & RIB CAGE
Your rib cage and scapulae are kind of the unsung troublemakers of the upper body—in the best and worst ways. They’re supposed to move, expand, rotate, and glide with every breath and every reach. But for most people? They’re locked up, over-braced, or just plain ignored. When your rib cage can’t move, your breathing gets shallow and your spine gets stiff. LFG MARCH CHALLENGE WINNER

First, a HUGE THANKS to EVERYONE who participated in our LFG Challenge last month. This was our first LFG event and you made it a great success. We had innumerable stars on the board, 40 participants who took all the different types of classes- mobility, fitness and yoga- AND posted about the Studio and Local WRJ Businesses on the socials.
