Thanksgiving Schedule, Inclusivity, Hip Hinge, Guest Passes & Cards, and Coat Drive

We’re giving thanks and feeling grateful this November! Check out our Thanksgiving Schedule and plan ahead.
Last month we highlighted our Vision, this month we’re shifting focus to our 5 Core Values; the first is Inclusivity. Let’s dive in together on what it means to be an inclusive space in the fitness industry.
We’re hip hinging in forward folds, deadlifts, and all the time outside the Studio – wait, but what does the mean exactly and how is it different from a squat? Read more on that below and in our newsletter.
We’ve got passes for those Holiday visitors! Bring ’em in for your favorite classes?
Time to go through that winter wear! Have some gently used, clean winter gear that you no longer need? Drop it off at the Studio this month and we’ll get it to The Haven!

Core Value: Inclusivity

Continually striving to provide a safe and accessible space for all students; intentionally engaging with, and seeking out opportunities to learn from diverse partners.
Walking into a fitness or yoga class can be intimidating, especially if you haven’t been giving your fitness and health the attention it deserves. We get it. That’s why all of our classes are created to be beginner friendly. It’s our goal to get you moving and keep you moving. Each class offers something different, but they all provide students with a place to start. Our teachers and staff are looking out for you and making sure that while class may be challenging, its also a place to find YOUR work and to honor THAT place. We work to create welcoming classes and a safe space for everyone who steps through the door and into the hot room. From the front desk to the front row, the Studio is committed to being a place of non-judgement where people from all walks of life can show up and participate.

FRC & Anatomy Focus of the Month

For the month of November, we’re working on how to HIP HINGE. The hip hinge is often confused with a squat. In a hinge, the pelvis rotates over the top of the femur, the femur rotates internally, and the back of the pelvis- specifically the area between the tailbone and the ischium (the lower rear portion of the hip bone)- spreads apart. You can think of it as the back pocket of your jeans getting wider (so you can stuff some money in there!).

Notes From the Front Desk

Visitors coming for the holidays? Check out our Weekly Unlimited Pass for $65. For Members, we also have a special 5 class card for students in Members’ households; $99 valid for 3 months. Bring ’em in for your favorite classes!
